Katherine Clayton

PhD Candidate

Katherine Clayton is a PhD candidate in political science at Stanford University. Her research focuses on public opinion about democracy in the U.S. and abroad, with an emphasis on the roles that persuasion, norms, and identity play in shaping voters’ democratic attitudes. Her work has been published in a variety of peer-reviewed outlets including the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and her book, Campus Diversity: The Hidden Consensus, was published in 2020 at Cambridge University Press.
